The synopsis reads, “Caution ahead! New scam is in progress. With new cons and bigger tricks, Jamtara boys are back at it again 📞”.

Netflix India’s Jamtara Season 2 Review Contains No Spoilers

After an intriguing season 1, Jamtara Season 2 brings in more realism, political drama and scamming methods. With elections on the way, wicked politician Brajesh Bhaan (Amit Sial) finds a worthy opponent in Ganga Devi (Seema Pahwa). Ganga Devi is a smart and selfish woman who knows how to make things work in her favour. She makes Gudiya stand for the election from her side.

While Gudiya is facing a political battle, the scamming game is getting strong. With new tricks, people and political pressure, the second season is filled with uncertainty, betrayals, and deaths.

As promised in the trailer, Jamtara Season 2 indeed shows us different ways the young boys and girls use to trick people and fetch money. We also see Jamtara school students trained to carry out the phishing scam like a summer camp. With advanced technology, the methods have also become more advanced and, sadly, more convincing for innocent people to get fooled.

Director Soumendra Padhi has used political influence on such scams. He’s shown us that these scams have big players and can be used to trick individuals belonging to the same league. Sadly, the people of Jamtara are mere pawns who will be sacrificed when the time comes.

Brajesh Bhaan was always a vile person, and Amit Sial has only gotten better with his performance. He’s so good at making us dislike Brajesh in every episode. With the addition of Seema Pahwa as Ganga Devi, who’s equally corrupt, it’s tough to choose who I hate more. Both the actors have done a brilliant job throughout.

The new season also focuses on how personal bonds strengthen and face various challenges because of the politics involved. The hurdles in Sunny, Gudiya and Rocky’s way are not just cops but powerful people. It’s interesting to see how they pull off a big scam in episodes 7 and 8 that panicked me the most.

Actors Sparsh Shrivastav, Monika Panwar and Anshumaan Pushkar are as promising as in season 1, with their characters having a great development. The series has a new addition with actor Ravi Chahar who has done a brilliant job of blending into a series where the old characters already have a great impact.

Jamtara 2 Review: Final Thoughts

Overall, Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega Season 2 is compelling and entertaining. The various scamming tactics will freak you out while making you aware of how things work. The performances are good, the plot has become darker, making the series engaging and worth binge-watching.

Watch the show on Netflix.
