Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime – Internet Child Exploitation Unit have made an arrest in relation to a child pornography investigation.
In February 2023, police began an investigation involving child pornography.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, on May 23, 2023, police arrested and charged an 18-year-old Bancroft male with Possession of Child Pornography.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet. This project has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
