WRPS Cybercrime – ICE Unit Have Arrested and Charged a Cambridge Male after June Investigation | #cybercrime | #computerhacker


Waterloo Region, Ontario – In June 2023, the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime – Internet Child Exploitation Unit conducted an investigation involving child pornography.

The investigation began after police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. 

As a result of the investigation, on August 23, 2023, police arrested a 19-year-old Cambridge male, charging him with Making Available Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography.  

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet. 

This project has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
