The Center for Community Health led by Cook Children’s joins many community events for parents and families to share safety and parenting information. The Center for Community Health provides education and resources to reduce injuries and share greater public awareness to keep every child safe.

Run4Elise

The Run4Elise is a 5K and 1 Mile fun run that benefits the Swim4Elise Foundation and the Elise Cerami Memorial Scholarship. This family-friendly community event honors the life of Elise Cerami by promoting water safety through swimming scholarships and community outreach education. Go here for more information.

The Center for Community Health will share information and resources for Lifeguard Your Child, Safe Baby Sleep, Aim for Safety and many other campaigns from the Center for Children’s Health and Cook Children’s. 

Super Safety Saturday- Burleson

Bring the entire family to Super Safety Saturday. The Burleson Fire Department is partnering with Texas Health Burleson for a family-friendly safety event that will include pool & sun safety education, home safety, bike safety and fire safety. Argyle Child Safety Fair

It’s almost that time again. The 3rd Annual Child Safety Fair is just around the corner on June 10th and it will be bigger and better (though still FREE) than before. There will be a water slide, a rock climbing wall, a water gun arena, a dunk tank, free snow cones, and so much more. And if you’re an expectant mother or are looking to ensure that your car seat is installed correctly, we will have a car seat fitting event prior to the Child Safety Fair. Mark your calendar now! There will also be free drug lock boxes, free gun safes, free booster seats, and free bike helmets. Go here for more information.
