Special service to combat cybercrime to be created in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Joomart Tokayev received Minister of Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov on March 6.

According to Akorda, Tokayev heard a report on the Ministry’s activities to root the “law and order” principle in the country and ensure “zero tolerance” for any offenses.

Yerzhan Sadenov reported that the Ministry is focused on prevention and increasing the legal literacy of citizens in accordance with the President’s orders. This has reduced the crime rate since the beginning of the year. The number of thefts, robberies, and crimes committed within families, on the streets, by minors and those with previous convictions has decreased.

Kassym-Joomart Tokayev was informed about the measures taken to develop a unified law in crime prevention and the creation of specialized units to combat domestic violence.

The President was acquainted with the work to combat organized crime, drug crime, and extremism. The Minister announced the creation of an independent service to combat cybercrime.

Yerzhan Sadenov also reported on preparations for the certification of middle management.

Tokayev gave a number of instructions to further improve the level of law and order and public safety in the country.
