SHI International has bulked up its cybersecurity offerings with the acquisition of Moot Inc., a Delaware-based company that provides customers with automated security solutions, the Somerset tech firm announced March 7. 

Financial terms of the deal, which is effective immediately, will not be disclosed, a company representative told NJBIZ.

In a statement that, SHI President and CEO Thai Lee said that in order to help customers “stay vigilant in securing their environment,” the company is continually evaluating new cybersecurity companies and technologies that don’t “hamper productivity.” 

“Our clients will appreciate the efficiency of Moot’s orchestration platform and help them enhance the technology investments they have already made while planning for future growth,” Lee added. 

The SHI representative told NJBIZ that Moot’s employees, who formally joined its team, “will receive new titles that are consistent with SHI’s job title naming conventions.”

In September 2023, SHI subsidiary Stratascale acquired another cybersecurity solutions provider, Vector0 Inc. The acquisition of Moot complements that addition, SHI said.  

“While Vector0 powers Stratascale’s Attack Surface Control & Vulnerability Management as a Service capabilities, Moot’s orchestration platform automates the steps required to achieve a dramatic reduction of an organization’s attack surface,” the company explained.
