The Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) received a plaque for cooperation in cybersecurity and a certificate of honor for excellent information infrastructure agency at the “Prime Minister Awards: Thailand Cybersecurity Excellence Awards 2023” from the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) at Asawin Grand Convention Hotel, Laksi District, Bangkok, on December 25, 2023.

Mr. Chakapong Kamchan, Deputy Governor (Operation 2) and Acting Governor of PWA, revealed, “It is with great pride that PWA received the Best Cybersecurity Performance Awards 2023 in the category of Cooperation and a certificate of honour in the category of Critical Information Infrastructure (CII). The Prime Minister Awards: Thailand Cybersecurity Excellence Awards 2023 was organised to enhance the ability to prevent, cope with, and reduce risks from cyber threats for information infrastructure, government, and private agencies in line with the Cyber Security Act 2019 and international standards. 69 awards and 18 certificates of honor, totaling 87 awards were given to those selected from the 181 agency candidates.

Ms. Chommanat Phonsomphon, Assistant Governor, added, “PWA is seriously committed to countering cyber threats and has been fostering policies, standards, and cooperation regarding cybersecurity both inside and outside the organisation continuously.”
