So, we’re able to have the fundamentals, and more, technically,” Andrea Sanguinetti, president of the Ethical Hackers Club, said.On Wednesday, the club held a spring 2024 cybersecurity symposium at the Lake Worth campus. Representatives from companies, including Google, were also there to network with future cybersecurity analysts.Justin Wan, a senior and member of the Ethical Hackers Club, was a panelist at the symposium and demonstrated how ethical hacking works. “My end goal is to be a penetration tester, which is basically a contractor that’s hired by companies to hack into their systems and write a report about what vulnerabilities may be in there,” Wan told WPBF 25 News. Last semester, the club placed second statewide in a web-based cybersecurity competition. “Nationally, we’re having conversations on a skills gap in the field of cybersecurity.
