The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday that nine sexual predators were arrested after deputies say they targeted children in the community last week.

According to the sheriff’s office, the following seven men were charged with human trafficking, traveling to meet a child for unlawful sex act, and electronic solicitation of a child:

  • 30-year-old Gilbert Jordan, of Madison
  • 31-year-old Brandon Adamson, of Athens
  • 28-year-old Edgar Castro-Juarez, of Albertville
  • 31-year-old Christopher Tomasello, of Blountsville
  • 43-year-old Bernardo Sanchez, of Huntsville
  • 22-year-old Jacob Farley, of Huntsville
  • 30-year-old Collin McGee, of Athens

The sheriff’s office also says 37-year-old Bobby Pincheon, of Hazel Green, was charged with human trafficking and traveling to meet a child for unlawful sex act.

The eight men mentioned above are all scheduled to have an Aniah’s Law hearing Thursday.

Twenty-nine-year-old Cameron Abernathy, of Athens, was charged with traveling to meet a child for unlawful sex act and transmitting obscene material to a child by computer, deputies say. His bond was set at $100,000.

The sheriff’s office says they, along with the Athens Police Department and Covenant Rescue Group, conducted an undercover operation, which resulted in the arrests.

Deputies say the purpose of this operation was to identify, investigate, and arrest predators seeking children for sexual acts. These offenders targeted and solicited decoys who they believed to be children. The sheriff’s office says these predators found them while searching online through chat rooms, social media, and other sites. These offenders then agreed on cash payments to engage in sexual acts with children and then traveled to designated locations in Limestone County to engage in these unlawful sex acts.

The sheriff’s office says this operation resulted from several months of planning, and they plan to build on the success of this operation and continue this important work.

The sheriff’s office asks that parents supervise and monitor all electronic devices their children utilize. These devices, such as smartphones, tablets, video gaming platforms, and computers, are an open door to your child’s mind.
