“Was going through my daughter’s phone and came across a message request… on fb messenger,” the dad wrote. “She had not answered him because she knows she is not allowed to converse with unknowns unless I approve.”
The Texan man decided to pretend to be his daughter to see what the man wanted, and was horrified at the conversation that followed.
“So I messaged him from her account,” wrote the dad. “Please help me make this guy famous so that he will not be able to target another child.”
He then posted the disturbing texts conversation online, which have since been shared over 515,000 times.
The dad later reveals he has contacted police about the man, who seemingly made no attempt to conceal his identity by chatting using his own Facebook account.
“He’s been reported, he has a warrant,” said the dad. “Won’t be long until he’s picked up.”
The concerned father also addressed comments that his child was too young to be on social media.
“Also people on here screaming about this 11-year-old has a Facebook – oh my god,” he says. “Well, the rule is that they have to be 13, so I guess if she was 13, totally ok then, huh?”
Just want to say thank you all, and keep up the sharing – let’s make sure everybody knows about this guy.”
