There have been a couple of nifty features and updates that have been announced this week in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, available to Micrsosoft 365 subscribers, all geared toward enhancing productivity while promoting efficiency and effectiveness.

First up is the OneDrive sync app tagged 93242 in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, which will allow users to sign into an account faster. “Users will experience an improved single sign-on experience by automatically being able to see their OneDrive files within their file browser upon sign in or OneDrive app update.”

If your Windows device is linked to your Azure Active Directory (AAD) account, then your OneDrive folder will automatically sync without you having to provide your account credentials. The same also applies to macOS users who are logged into another Microsoft application like Edge. The feature is expected to start rolling out in November. However, if you have OneDrive running in the background then you might at times find that it is trying to sign in with an existing AAD credential that is made available to Microsoft applications.

Next up is the Unread Toggle in Activity Feed in Microsoft Teams tagged 88389 in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, which will help users quickly check all the unread activities in their feed. The Preview is expected to roll out towards the end of this month while the Standard one will start rolling out in November.

What’s more, Surveys and shared plans under the tag 85660 in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap are coming to users with Viva Insights subscriptions in an attempt to help enhance effective meeting habits. As meeting organizers will be able to view aggregated feedback from meeting attendees, where they will be able to use it the gauge their strengths and weakness, thus allowing them to make changes accordingly. Surveys will begin rolling out towards the end of this month while Meeting effectiveness Plan in mid-October.

And as we had earlier reported, Microsoft OneDrive is getting a new Activity column tagged 88913 in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, which was expected to roll out in September but the timeline has since been pushed to mid-October and is expected to reach general availability by the end of the same month. The feature will help users keep track of all interactions made on shared documents. The column will also feature in the My files view, where users will be able to view all the shares, @mentions, comments, and assigned tasks from collaborators.

And finally, Microsoft Teams is going to get Outgoing Screen Share Support for Firefox Browser starting mid-October. Share your thoughts with is in the comment section below.
