KUWAIT CITY, Oct 9: The Criminal Court ruled to dismiss the criminal charges leveled against a Kuwaiti hacker who infiltrated 200 American websites and seized money. This ruling is based on the fact that the accused could not be tried for charges, which were leveled more than ten years ago.
According to the case file, the Public Prosecution stated that the accused, during the period from December 2010 to June 2012, carried out a hostile act against a foreign country, namely the United States of America, without permission from the government of the State of Kuwait, by hacking protected government websites and databases belonging to the US Defense and the South Carolina National Guard.
The United States of America expressed its protest in secret by taking legal measures, which included issuing an arrest warrant and an international red notice against the accused. This led to the arrest and detention of the accused.
