Hyderabad: The Cyber Security Bureau (CSB) on Monday launched a campaign to create awareness on the cybercrime reporting number 1930. The police placed on the roads, flyers which resemble a wallet filled with currency notes of `500 denomination notes.

The sudden appearance of the ‘money-filled wallets’ soon grabbed attention.

When people picked up the flyers, they found information about cybercrime events and the complaints number 1930.

“We wanted to engage the people’s thoughts by using the ‘wallet full of money’ concept. We wanted to draw them in and then surprise them with the message we had,” said Cyberabad commissioner Stephen Raveendra. The campaign is being executed in the three commissionerates in high-traffic areas like busy streets, parks, educational institutions, bus stops, and shopping centres.
