HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with Raidurgam Police has arrested a Cybercrime sub inspector (SI) for possession of drugs at his house.
The accused was identified as Rajendra, a 2009 batch SI. Currently, Rajendra is working as Cybercrime SI in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.
According to police, Rajendra recently participated in a special operation in Maharashtra and seized a huge quantity of drugs. However, he did not produce the seized drugs before the court and kept them in his house.
Investigations conducted by the higher officials revealed that he was in contact with drug peddlers. A team of police personnel from H-NEW and Raidurgam conducted checks at Rajendra’s house and found around 2 kg MDMS worth Rs 4 lakh in one of his wardrobes.
The police registered a case against Rajendra and sent him to judicial remand.
