Ahmedabad: Cybercrime police registered a non-cognisable complaint against the nodal officers of an e-wallet of an online marketing platform after the nodal officers failed to give information about pending refund cases.
The Cybercrime officials in a statement said that the complaint was filed against two nodal officers under IPC 175 (Omission to produce document or electronic record to public servant by person legally bound to produce it) and 176 (omission to give notice or information to public servant by person legally bound to give it).
The Cybercrime officials said that the nodal officers were asked about the details of the pending cases but the two did not reply to the notices and even did not cooperate with the officials.
The cops then approached the chief judicial magistrate, Gandhinagar, and on Friday the chief judicial magistrate ordered an investigation. tnn
