Cybercrime Law receives Senate approval | #cybercrime | #computerhacker

The Senate has approved the amended draft cybercrime law in its legislative session.

The amendments include changes to Article 15, allowing the judiciary to choose between fines, imprisonment, or both penalties for crimes like spreading false news, defamation, slander, or contempt.

Additionally, Article 16 has been modified, reducing fines for acts that “assassinate the personality.”

Furthermore, Article 17 has been revised, granting the judiciary the discretion to impose fines, imprisonment, or both for offenses related to inciting strife, undermining social peace, inciting hatred, or showing contempt for religions.
