Cyber Crime Cases Rise In State; 15,000 In 2022, Says Dgp | Hyderabad News | #cybercrime | #computerhacker

HYDERABAD: The number of cyber crime cases in Telangana in 2022 reached 15,217 as against 10,303 registered in 2021.
Telangana director general of police Anjani Kumar disclosed this during an online conference on ‘Cyber Security-2023’ organised by Global Counter Terrorism Council and Digital India, New Delhi.
“Cyber crimes have increased. They are taking place all over the world. The Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau (TCSB) has been specially formed to tackle challenges in cyber security and 500 officers and staff have been appointed in this bureau set up at the Integrated Command and Control Center,” Anjani Kumar said, while speaking on ‘National Architecture for Cyber Space Management’.
While explaining the different initiatives taken up by police, he said that every district in the state has cyber crime investigation team. Till now, 65 crore has been recovered in different financial frauds. TSCSB is also a designated police station apart from six police commissionerates having cyber crime police stations.
