A Western Cape man has been arrested as part of a police crackdown on a list of South Africa’s top “child online sexual predators”.
The 25-year-old man was arrested in Mossel Bay on Friday following an operation by local police and the Serial and Electronic Crime Investigations (SECI) Unit, with the help of the US Department of Homeland Security.
The arrest is the province’s fourth in connection with a nationwide network that makes and distributes online child sexual abuse material.
