Acer Swift Edge 16 and Predator Triton 16 launched as the latest premium offerings from the Taiwanese brand. The former is an AMD-powered compact notebook for creators, whereas the latter is a powerful gaming and work laptop. The Swift Edge 16 has AMD Ryzen 7040 Series processors and AMD Radeon 780M graphics. On the other hand, the Predator Triton 16 is powered by the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. Acer also announced the Connect Vero W6m, which is its first eco-friendly Wi-Fi 6E router made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials and has an Eco mode for efficient energy consumption. Acer Swift Edge 16 and Predator Triton 16 Price and Availability
The Acer Swift Edge 16 and Predator Triton 16 will be available in North America starting July 2023 and September 2023, respectively. The former starts at $1,299 (~Rs 1,07,400), and the latter will start at $1,799 (~Rs 1,48,700). The company is yet to announce the Indian availability and pricing of the new laptops but has mentioned that specs, price, and availability will vary by region.

The Acer Swift Edge 16 is the brand’s latest lightweight flagship laptop weighing just 1.23 kg. The laptop features a magnesium alloy chassis with a stylish design. It is equipped with a 16-inch 3.2K OLED display, which is TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe-certified. The display offers a 120 Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 500 nits peak brightness.
Powering the laptop is AMD Ryzen 7040 Series processors and up to AMD Radeon 780M GPU. The processor is backed by up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage for faster loading and read/write speeds. There’s a TwinAir cooling technology with enhanced fan and air inlet keyboard design for efficient thermal management and smooth performance.
Acer has also equipped specific models of Swift Edge 16 with AMD Ryzen AI for real-time video enhancements during video calls. It has a 1,440p QHD webcam for video calls with automatic framing, gaze correction, and advanced background blur features. For security and authentication, the laptop features a Microsoft Pluton security processor and a fingerprint reader with support for Windows Hello.
Connectivity options on the Acer Swift Edge 16 include Wi-Fi 7, 2 USB Type-A ports, 2 USB 4 Type-C PD 65W ports, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card reader. It boots Windows 11 operating system out of the box.
Acer Predator Triton 16 Specifications, Features
The Acer Predator Triton 16 is the latest slim gaming laptop from the brand that is just 0.78 inches thick and comes in a metal casing. The laptop flaunts a 16-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) IPS display with a 240 Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, and support for DCI-P3 100% color gamut. The latest gaming laptop is powered by up to 13 Gen Intel Core i9 processors with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. The GPU offers features like NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, NVIDIA G-SYNC, NVIDIA DLSS 3, and Max-Q technology.
The processor is further backed by up to 32GB DDR5 5200MHz RAM and up to 2TB PCIe M.2 SSDs in RAID 0 configuration. Acer has used dual Gen 5 AeroBlade 3D fans, Vortex Flow optimization, and liquid metal thermal grease on the CPU for effective thermal management. The laptop features a full-sized keyboard with per-key RGB lighting that can be customised using the PredatorSense utility app. The app can also be used to customise system settings and more.
For authentication, the Predator Triton 16 features a fingerprint scanner with Windows Hello support. This Windows 11 machine has 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, HDMI 2.1, a Type-C USB port with Thunderbolt 4, and a microSD card reader.
